A complicated process behind a simple object.
The value and treasure of a simple object can be represented by the work that's behind its manufacturing. A unique piece made exclusively by hand, enhanced by precious crystalline and enamel, with precious metal or lacquer applications. After casting, each piece is let to dry for 7 hours, then fired for 12 hours at 1015 centigrades. At the end of this process they are ready for coloring through two different techniques: cold coloring used to obtain colors that do not require additional firing, or hot coloring using techniques which require the objects to be returned to the kiln for a final phase.This phase is used for all vases interiors to make them waterproof,and on the objects with glazes and metal finishes such as copper,silver and gold. The molten metal is carefully applied to the objects with special brushes. The object goes back to the kiln for another 10 hours at a temperature of 650 centigrade. After being removed from the kiln the item is polished and coated in order to highlight the parts free from metal and create a beautiful contrast. |
